Bappeda DKI Jakarta - Jakarta Research and Innovation Ecosystem
Jakarta Research and Innovation Ecosystem (JRIE) is a collaborative ecosystem enabling research and innovation to move into practice, initiated by Bappeda DKI Jakarta in collaboration with Impactto, to connect research actors and innovation solutions directly with government needs and development priorities across Jakarta.

Jakarta Research and Innovation Ecosystem a collaboration ecosystem designed to enable a more strategic view of Jakarta’s research and innovation landscape. JRIE functions as an integrated hub that maps research actors, innovation outputs, thematic priorities, and activated a cross-sector research and innovation collaborative opportunities involving tech companies, researchers, universities, OPD, and BUMD across DKI Jakarta allowing solutions to be offered, co-developed, and scaled within the full spectrum of government functions and services.
Program Impacts:
Conducted 76 innovation matchmaking meetings involving 134 participants across tech companies, OPD/BUMD of DKI Jakarta, universities, and investors, creating direct interaction between innovation providers and government problem owners.
Supported strategic partnerships with Universitas Indonesia and Institut Teknologi Bandung, engaging 150+ researchers/academics, tech companies and communities, through panel discussions and ecosystem dialogues.
Led innovation roundtables FGD with OPD/BUMD, involving 84 researchers and tech companies, identified challenges and innovation including smart infrastructure, sustainable mobility & transport, climate resilience (water & waste management), data- and AI-enabled urban solutions.
